Looking Back: Summer '06 in the Fenway Victory Gardens


Autumn is here in earnest now.  It's my favorite time of year, in some ways.  Probably because of all those harvests on the farm in New Hampshire.  I used to be unequivocal on the issue of my favorite season, but I'm less dogmatic nowadays.  Each one seems to have something magical about it, something you want to hold onto when it's over.  Here are some such scenes from the season just past:

    Those are some very beautiful pictures. I live near a public garden here in Somerville, and I was curious as to what the spiky ball plant is because we have them in this garden. Congrats on the new site, I hope it allows you more freedom, because I look forward to reading your blog and I miss it when you can't update.

    Those spiky blue flowers are called Echinops ritro, or perhaps more to the point: globe thistle.  I like 'em, too.
