Stephen Heywood Dead at 37
I read yesterday that Newton native Stephen Heywood has died. You may recognize the name from the documentary So Much So Fast, about his heroic struggle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Heywood and his brothers decided that rather than succumb to despair they would do something about ALS. And they have. Theirs is such a truly inspiring story.
In a time when, sadly, even our heroes are cynics, Stephen Heywood was the real deal. A real hero.
