Best Burgers in Boston Metro, Maybe The World
O'Sullivan's on Beacon Street in Somerville.
Jay made me wait all day yesterday to finally—after six months in Somerville—introduce me to this gem. He comes downstairs around two, and he's like, "wanna go get a burger?"
I'm like, sure.
We didn't leave until seven.
But it was worth the wait. It's not until you have a great burger (and the fries and onion rings weren't too shabby, either) that you realize how rare they really are.
Jay recommended the "black-and-blue": black pepper, blue cheese, enough said. So we both got one. It didn't need anything else on it, either (though Jay got raw onions with his—one of the benefits of a long-distance relationship, I've gathered).
$8.95, a small price to pay for perfection, wash it down with a pint or two @ $4.75 ea., and the service was downright perky.
O'Sullivan's burgers will change your life. They could change the world.

Save the burger. Save the world.

Sounds mighty good to me. I will have to get over there sometime this summer, when I feel like I can afford the extra calories and cholesterol! Especially if the fried onions really are good.
