Till Death Do Us Part, Rhode Island Style

From today's Be Careful What You Wish For file.

A Lesbian couple who married in Massachusetts now wants the right to divorce in Rhode Island

Of course, there's nothing unusual about people getting married and divorced.  It's just that I've always thought lesbians mated for life.  I mean, Gertrude and Alice, Romeo and Juliet, Daniela Sea and Bitch.

The couple in this case consists of a sixty- and seventy-year-old who had been together, unmarried, for a decade.  Then came marriage.  They lasted two years.  I want my toaster back, girls.

People are funny, in a sort of tedious way.  It's The Struggle, innit?

Oddly enough, lesbians have a higher divorce rate than gay men, now that same sex marriage is legal. Who'd of guessed? I guess bringing that U-Haul on the second date is not a great relationship move after all.
