New Perspective on an Old PC

My hands have always been too big for my laptop keyboard — half of my keystrokes consist of backspacing. This morning one particularly wild move resulted in my somehow hitting the "Fn" key and "F8" (at least I think that's the move I busted), so that my screen went from horizontal to vertical mode (or vertical to horizontal — it's in effed-up mode, at any rate). I tried hitting the same keys again, and while the screen would flip back to normal for a split-second, it always returns now — wouldn't you know it — to the effed-up setting. Even after rebooting five or six times.
My Dell "Help and Support" has been neither helpful nor supportive (surprising, I know). I have searched online, to no avail. I am at a complete loss (it doesn't take much, Lord knows), and, as is usual in these situations, am wondering if there is some specific god in my PC I have pissed off, and is there another one I can petition to fix it for me? Can I go over both their heads to the Big PC God who will make everything OK again? Is there a sacrifice I can make? What do the PC gods want? Have I angered them by my newfound fervor for LOLCats? Is there something, anything I can do?
If not, I suppose I could get used to it. At first it was sort of hard to get my mouse positioned, but I am a survivor, and my motto, like most PC users', has come to be "adapt or die." But I don't know how viewing my virtual world this way is going to influence my real life. I already have a crick in my neck from seeing the world through this new perspective.
If anyone out there can lend me some of their perspective on any of this, I would be deeply indebted.

UPDATE!
I finally found the "graphics options" menu that pops up when you right click the desktop, and the "rotate" option on it.
And it only took me an hour! Glad I had my easy button handy!
(Still, wouldn't it be easier if the same function key you pressed to eff it up fixed it? But wudevah.)

Where is the "skewed" option?

I found that (graphics options )by accident once, and I for a lark, decided to rotate my screen 180 degrees, It was hell trying to get my mouse over there to rotate it back. I kept going the wrong way.
