Queen For A Day (And Maybe For Life)

Well, Massachusetts came out for Hillary yesterday, despite (or maybe because of) the Kennedy and Kerry endorsements, a buttload of hopemongering from Deval Patrick, and at least three votes Marcelo managed to wrangle up for Obama, and one he stole away from Hillary (just giving you a hard time, Marcelo).
I'm looking forward to a grand coronation in November, and then the filing of all necessary legislation to establish Hillary Clinton as head of state in perpetuo, because I for one have had enough of this voting nonsense. All this fussing and fighting, and then trudging to the polls in the rain. And then they don't even give you a goody bag for going to the trouble. All you get is a stupid sticker.
Folks at my polling place were very civil, despite the inconveniences, but the day after, some members of Obama's local Hope Squad seem to be dealing with this minor setback with somewhat less-than-civil discourse. I checked The Globe's misnamed Political Intelligence Blog this morning for reaction. A clearly disgruntled Foon Rhee, Deputy National Political Editor, retired for the night in disgust after Clinton declared bragging rights in Massachusetts.
Obama's always positive, articulate supporters took the news in stride, characterizing the 56% of Mass. voters who went for Clinton as cowards, chumps, and "brain-dead drones," who "by voting for Clinton ... have shown that they are not nearly as smart or insightful as they think they are." "What in the world is wrong with people in Massachusetts?" one whined. "Would Obama be real change? I don't know but I KNOW Clintons wouldn't Why can't people see that?" wailed another.
One called Clinton Bush in a blue dress ("I just see the same thing that I see in Bush in Hillary—the lusting, grasping, unitary-executive theorizing, executive-ordering, powermad, prideful, vengeful, secretive, torturing, warmongering cynical ideologue as we have today"), another erroneously identified Jeb Bush as current Governor of Florida. (It's actually Charlie Crist, Jr. — just thought I'd clear that up while I'm on it.)
Many went on to threaten a boycott of the election if Hillary gets the nomination...
Chillary could never be reigned in under Bill Clinton and now she is just an ear shot of the whit house ....she is clearly emotional during speeches ...Of course, every campaign has its creeps, name-callers, sore losers and irredeemably bad spellers. It's just that these members of The Hope Squad seemed to abandon hope so easily in favor of threats and epithets.* Rest assured, your candidate is still very much in the race for delegates.
if she gets the nod ..im voting for McCain and I'm multi racial ..and I will push
hard for my extened family to do the same ... WHAT CAN BE WORST THAN the BUSHes >>>MORE CLINTON's...
The fact that it's still unbelievably, nail-bitingly close reflects similarities in the candidates rather than vast differences, I think. I, for one, remain hopeful that Democrats can see that no one of their candidates has a monopoly on hope, and that we all want the best for the future.
Now, if you'll excuse me. I have to plan what I'm going to wear to the coronation!

Well. Despite the efforts of Mayor Menino and his political machine, Obama won in Boston, Cambridge, and thanks to me, Somerville.
Let it rain.
