DSS Fails Again

Horrible horrible horrible.

Marilyn Anderson Chase, assistant secretary for children, youth, and families in the Executive Office of Health and Human Services: "We'd have to acknowledge that there was a red flag that was presented by the allegation that child had been burned, and that probably should have been checked."  Um, yeah, probably.

Chase should be fired.
The mother of the child should be sterilized.
The boyfriend should be castrated.
His grandma needs a new prescription for her eyeglasses.

Did I leave anyone out?

How terrible! A similar case like that happened in Indpls recently with a little girl. Social workers knew it was a bad home, even commented in reports that they were losing sleep worrying about this child's safety. The child was tortured over thanksgiving holiday and was even left to hang by her T-shirt over night. No one lost their job over that, and it's likely that no one will lose their job here.

We live in a disposable society where even children are tossed out and left to die.

Let's see, you need a license to drive, hunt, and fish. But any old breeder can pop out a baby and abuse them. And we're the ones that are a threat to this country?
