Economists are from Mars

The Times reports that producers prices rose 1.4% in May, "the fastest [rate] in six months."  But, not to worry: "core inflation — excluding food and energy — grew only moderately."

Oh, it's only food and energy you can't afford.  Whew!  That's a relief. Carry on.

The aliens are among us.  They don't need food or energy, apparently.  And they're running our economy.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid.
