Baby Globe Thistles and Cone Flowers


We've been getting some of that rain we missed out on all Spring.  As wet and wild as it's been in the Midwest, we've had a drier than usual last couple of months here.  There's nothing like a good thundershower to really perk things up in the garden.

    The Biblical rains that have punished much of the Midwest have been just what the garden needed here in Chicago. Cooler temps (below 80*) have also delayed the dreaded mildew we usually see this time of year.

    Sorry, Hoosiers, but my clematis and Mme. Carriere roses are thriving while you paddle around town in canoes.
