Bumbling Through
I'm finally getting my color back...
...thanks to my prolific purple coneflowers, globe thistles, marigolds and zinnias...
The bumble bees are going to town...
I just love these guys. I'm deathly allergic to bees, but I've worked around them for years — first in the orchard up in New Hampshire, and then in the garden. Bumble bees are the best, because they're chill. They'll go medieval on your ass if you stumble onto their nest, but that's understandable. Otherwise they pretty much go about their business without too much drama. As you can see, they'll even sit still for a picture.
