The Summer Day I've Been Waiting For

In the words of Wallace Stevens: "moisture and heat have swollen the garden into a slum of bloom."

Something about the sun through the willow trees in the early evening, sitting in the garden, chatting and sharing a cigarette with a friend — everything was just as it should be in the garden today.

The bike ride home could have gone on forever, too. Everything along the way was perfect.

This was the summer day I've been waiting for.

All that first gorgeous shot needs is a Tuscan baroque tempietto and some exotic birds flitting about to be a ringer for Sebastian Venable's garden in "Suddenly, Last Summer" Bravo!
