The Puzzling Persistence of Life

I spent a few hours in the garden today, a couple with Chuck, my oldest, dearest friend in Boston.  Doing what was left undone from last fall.  The place was buzzing, and it was good to see my fellow gardeners, many of whom I hadn't seen all winter.  Gad, I just love that place.  I do.

Here are some snaps I took over the last couple of days in Back Bay and the Fenway.  Honestly, they're your run-of-the-mill spring snaps, but after another ridonkulously long and punishing winter, every tulip that's peeping up from the earth, every bud bursting from a tree limb is a little revelation...

I don't think they're "run-of-the-mill spring snaps" at all! Your garden photos are always beautiful--thank you for posting them.

Ditto on your photography. The pictures make me happy, in spite of having the game rained out today.

I think gardening makes me even happier than baseball. Odd, I know.
