Peepin' my peonies (and other urban-pastoral pleasures)
The leaf buds on my tree peony have been unfurling for the past week or so...
...most are wrapped around a flower bud — last year there were more than twenty blossoms! — and from the looks of it, this this year's gonna be another banner year for this baby.
My red peony is also starting to peep up from the earth and unfurl...
I might as well throw some grape hyacinth in for good measure...
And the lilac blossoms are peeping out, too...
Looks like my garden is actually starting to look like a garden again, doesn't it?
