All of the original photos on this blog and my flickr stream were taken with either a Nikon Coolpix L4, L10, or S51. I'm a huge fan of cheap point-n-click cameras, and Nikon's Coolpix
series fits the bill. My latest, the
S51, weighs in at
8.1 megapixels, and cost me just under two hundred bucks, a bargain when you consider that I never leave home without it, and always come back with at least 150 photos from the day's adventure. The L
series is even easier on the pocketbook. You can find L14s with 7.1 MP for around a hundred bucks. No one will mistake you for Ansel Adams, but you can have a lot of fun with it.
One of the guerilla knitters discusses the project. Also fun - and sad - the flamewar that follows on the question of whether the flowers are actually litter.

There is a fantastic new (to me) light pole cover outside of the Animal Rescue League near the corner of Arlington and Tremont - a work of art!

Thanks for the tip, Linda -- that one is actually right around the corner from my work -- love it! I posted a few pics a couple weeks ago!
