A Wet Week in the Fenway

After a spectacular Memorial Day (which I spent with my buddy Steve in Vermont) this last week was somber and gray, weatherwise.  Pretty cold and soggy out there still, although the sun is peeking through this morning.  Perfect weather for my unfurling ferns (I'm currently auditioning concrete buddhas for my fern corner — I'll keep you posted).  My lupine, not as spectacular as in years past, but mostly coming in a delicate shade of pink, have made an admirable showing.  And my Siberian irises are on the march.

(See full-size versions of photos here.)

The last three shots are from Leo and Iory's garden, full of wonders, as ever.
