Whingers and Losers
Quote of the day comes from Lindsey Graham, Republican Senator from South Carolina:
"I was incredibly disappointed in the tone of [President Obama's Health Care] speech. At times, I found his tone to be overly combative andbelieve he behaved in a manner beneath the dignity of the office."This, from the party that gave you the Town Hall Screamers (though they'd like you to believe it was all Lyndon LaRouche's fault) and the state that gave you Congressman-Heckler Joe Wilson. Overly combative and beneath the dignity of his office, indeed.

South Carolina's also the state that gave us a congressman who walked onto the Senate floor and beat a Massachusetts senator into unconsciousness (with a guttapercha cane, no less).

...and the altercation was over abolition; I'm not sure that ironic is the word, but there's an interesting dynamic here...

...oh, yeah, and Charles Sumner (MA) was a Massachusetts Republican (y'know: the Party of Lincoln....yeah, right), and Preston Brooks (SC) a Democrat. Go figure.
