T Fares Derailed Because There's a Good Chance Red Line Trains Will

The Governor's just gotten an independent report on the state of the T:
The author of the report, David F. D'Alessandro, went so far this morning as to say he would not ride the Red Line between Harvard Square and Alewife because a water leak has created the potential for a train derailment.
This is very comforting for someone, like me, whose stop is between Harvard and Alewafe.

He hastened to add: "There are not imminent safety dangers."

Whew.

"That isn't to say there won't be an accident," he went on.  "There may be."

Just probably not today.

Well, that's a relief.
