Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Tony Galluccio...
...has got to go.

Senator Galluccio has obviously got a drinking/driving/hit-n-running/telling-the-truth problem. He seems to think it's a "personal" issue he can set about addressing in his free time now that the legislative session is over. But the truth is, the combination of utter lack of self-control, bad judgment, and refusal to own his actions, makes him not only a public risk on the roads, but calls into question his ability to serve the public in the Senate.
Galluccio is even more of a disappointment considering the stature of his predecessor, Jarrett Barrios, whose fierce intelligence and commitment to his causes made him an anomoly among his political peers. Good thing, Galluccio's challenger in the upcoming election, Dan Hill, seems promising, at least at first glance.
The Globe was right to demand the Senator seek treatment, but not as a condition of staying on. Galluccio should not "seek treatment or resign," he should seek treatment and resign. Immediately. Before the holidays. Before he kills someone this time.
