Missed Connections Hits The Big Times
Now that Missed Connections has made it into the Newspaper of Record, I guess we can agree that it is a genuine cultural phenomenon of the first order. Like most, it was just something spontaneously awful that became a clever blog first, which is surely soon to be a book (it's already a comic book
, in fact). Now there's a podcast, and even a band called The Missed Connections (really just solo artist Amelia Marzec, but still).The only question now is who will be first with the reality series? Bravo or Spike?
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Missed Connections: The Movie (not to be confused with Missed Connection — singular) is already in the works, but probably won't hit theaters until next summer.
