Well, at least he actually won a medal this time, eh? (Recall that the much-touted "bad boy" of the '06 Turin Olympics did a lot of trash-talking, and then had three DNFs (did not finish) in five events and went home without a single medal.)
I'm being a little hard on him. He was actually only .09 seconds away from the gold. And he wasn't even drunk.
Oh, come on. He's a beautiful and unique snowflake.

some statistics geek at NBC (not the insufferable Bob Costas) translated the .09 seconds into 21 inches. I think that should count as sizeable, non? Even for your elevated standards?
