Latte Liberals Beware: Teabaggers drink Coffee, Too

I don't think anyone would disagree that the gun lobby is pretty much synonymous with the paranoid fringe.  Even gun nuts themselves could agree with the old adage "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you."

The latest?  These poor persecuted souls are "testing" the laws they pushed through state legislatures that allow them to openly carry weapons the sole purpose of which is to wound or kill other people, by walking into dangerous liberal outposts like Starbucks and flashing their firearms, obviously hoping to spark a civil war.

At least we'll get to have our coffee first.  Civil war is hell without it.

You know, the real conspiracy here is any attempt to make gun nuts like this and the laws they push through state legislatures seem the least bit reasonable.  I mean, the gun nut who targeted the Starbucks in the article says "I don't know of anybody who would provide me with defense other than myself, so I routinely as a way of life carry a weapon — and that extends to my coffee shops."

You know, first of all, there's probably a good reason no one would defend you.  That's one of the drawbacks of being vile.  Here's someone who believes only the threat of force can avert conflict, which only force can resolve.  Maybe if you gave up your binky you'd find that people would like you a little better.  After all, it's hard to hug someone wearing a loaded firearm.  You never know when it's going to go off, do you?

All I can say is if someone walked into my Starbucks flashing his firearm to prove a point about how nobody likes him, I would probably take my Iced Single Vente, 7 pump Peppermint, Caramel Sauce Top and Bottom, Light Ice, No whip Mocha... um, to go, please.
