Dirty Water

So, they're saying they hope it takes days and not weeks to get the system up and running again.

Everyone I talked to this morning on my walk about the neighborhood in search of bottled water was bummed, not so much at the water situation as such, but that none of the local fast food restaurants were serving coffee.

Now, I think it's a sad day in America when they don't know how to boil water at a restaurant.

They better learn quick or there are going to be an awful lot of very irritable people in this already very irritable town.  And I'm not just talking irritable bowels here, either.

I think it's less that they want to boil the water and more that it'll take up a lot of time to boil and then refrigerate it. They should totally just use a steripen.

I suppose you could play a lot of Tchaikovsky while awaiting the return of the potable water supply. Perhaps GBH could run a "Last Days of the Maestro" to remind the populace of the danger.
