It's a nice blend of stories -- I have similar interests which is why I like the mix of gay, art, politics, philosophy, gardening sprinkled with observations of everyday life.   Federal cops are subjected to far more controls than civilians where firearms are concerned. Yet this federal cop shot and killed a dog in a public setting where there were children.

  This is consistent with what has evolved as the Conservative philosophy: anarchy. It follows the Supreme Court's decisions concerning both election funding as well as the bogus declaration of gun ownership as a right.
  
  Though the same philosophy continues to turn rabid where same-gender marriage is concerned. Seems that the modern Conservative attitude is violence is good, greed is good, power (for a few) is good but love is evil.
