what's with the frying pan on the rack? It almost looks like a pan/wok hybrid? I stopped using my wok because I can't get the heat up there, and when I use a frying pan it all splashes about. this looks like a good combination but does it work properly?
When I got an Aga cooker (that's England English for stove) I had to get a flat bottomed wok to work with the Aga's flat cookplates. It quickly became our favorite pan, perfect for all kinds of sautéing as well as conventional high-temperature stir frying.
As for the joys, I think those would apply also for anyone who's invited for breakfast chez Mennonno.
It took some serious digging to get back to this post, but I wanted to request more shots depicting the "joys of bachelorhood"! Its a cold, cold winter and such photos would help get the blood moving -LOL-
are you always serving hot buns for breakfast?

Speaking of bottoms, that is a flat-bottom wok, my friend. And while wok-purists look down on them, it suits me just fine.

cool - thanks. Something to look out for next time in Chinatown.
I think it is also the bottom purists that look down on flat bottoms. Nothing you'd have to worry about, it appears. The benefits of bicycling.

Sweet... won't say anything more else I'll potentially get myself into trouble but there are a few more things that do come to mind for sure.

It's been a bit chilly around the flat, too. I've had to resort to wearing my rugby shorts around!
