Opening Up a Gateway to the Gardens

Yesterday the city and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy broke ground on what will become a visitor and volunteer center in the Old Stony Brook Gatehouse on the Emerald Necklace.

There's been a quite little renaissance a-brewing along the Emerald Necklace, what with legislation zoning the old duck house on Agassiz Road for commercial use, too.

Future Starbucks?

The renovation and use of these exquisite structures will add new vitality to a section of the park system that the city has long neglected.  And it also presents exciting opportunities for new partnerships.

This is a great time to be living (and gardening) in the Fenway.
