Tee Time

So, last week, as I perused Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" project, I was thinking of what I could sort of do my own little self to send some love to the GLBT youth who are feeling alienated and alone, and I struck on the idea of an "I'm with..." tee shirt.  You've seen some iteration of it somewhere I'm sure...

But I thought I'd put together something a little more fabulous to show support for the struggle all GLBT youth go through.  For some reason all I could think of was pink unicorns and rainbows...

You can pick one up here, and 100% of the profits from the shirt's sale go to The Trevor Project, which operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. How cool is that?  How cool do you want to be?

There's also a killer "Double Rainbow All The Way" tee you'll want to give EVERYONE for Christmas (see the inspirational video here), and I'll be posting new designs in the coming days, so check it out, ya'll!

    I love it!

Is it just the pink unicorn shirt proceeds that go to the Trevor Project? Cause I'm feeling the need for a Mennonno Sapiens mug too. (Not that I wouldn't happily support you, Mike, considering all the time I spend reading your blog!)

You are such a sweetie, Steve.

To answer your question, the intent was to send 100% or profits, after Zazzle takes its cut, from the one shirt (that's why the cost of that shirt is higher). The other items are priced so that the "royalty" -- what I collect after Zazzle does it's thing -- is much lower. That said, if you would like a mug (and I want you to have one!) and want 100% to go to the Trevor project, just pop me an email when you make your purchase and I will be sure it is thus allocated!

Happy to do it! And that goes for everyone!
