Theater of the Absurd

This email from my friends at the Charlestown Working Theater gives the phrase new meaning:
Our Armenian colleagues from the National Center for Aesthetics Small Theatre based in Yerevan were due to arrive this evening. However they have not been granted the travel visas that were approved for them over a week ago. We are unclear whether this is a bureaucratic or political issue, and we have many people working to solve this problem.

We do know that these Armenian artists have an approved visa that is not being issued to them for some reason. The Wednesday (4/27) preview of their performance Seventh Sense has unfortunately been canceled, but we hope to open on Thursday as planned.

Performances will run Thursday-Saturday, April 28-30 at 8pm. Our colleagues from Italy's Versilliadanza will arrive this evening and we will proceed loading in the performance as planned. We send our support to Vahan Badalyan and all our friends at NCA Small Theatre, and we maintain Vahan's attitude that humanity must prevail.
